Reliable, up-to-date technology is an essential component for all distance education courses (online, hybrid, video and web conferencing). In order to maintain quick and efficient online operation, Delaware Tech recommends the minimum technological requirements for your device that are provided below.

You will also find several self-help links below that will inform you about the minimum requirements to access our Learning Management System (LMS). Please note that many times just re-setting your browser will resolve or help resolve the issue you are experiencing with your connection to our LMS.

Important Note:  Delaware Tech does not support personal devices. The links and information on this page are to help you troubleshoot difficulties you may be having with your personal device. All Delaware Tech Online courses require a reliable connection to the Internet. You are responsible for setting up your own connection to the Internet. If your device does not exceed the minimum requirements listed below, our online educational software may run slowly or not at all on your system.

Headset with Microphone may be required for online courses
Smart Device/Tablet running latest operating system
Dedicated & reliable 512 kbps or faster internet connection

Recommended Software
Microsoft Office 2010 or newer/equivalent
Current & updated antivirus and anti spyware application
Up-to-date versions of Adobe Reader and Flash Player
Up-to-date version of Java
Current browser: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox,
Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, or Safari

Min: 1.5 Mbps during regular usage
5 Mbps or higher during any interactive sessions
Note: Wireless connections may create some problems when taking exams
