Minimum Technology Requirements
The minimum technology requirements are the baseline requirements for accessing Delaware Tech’s online platforms. Your specific program may have additional technology requirements. If you have questions, contact your advisor.
You are responsible for setting up your internet connection and managing your personal device. To ensure you are ready to engage with course materials, review the requirements below.
Operating System
It is recommended to use the most up-to-date version of your device’s operating system. Delaware Tech’s platforms are compatible with the following Operating Systems:
- Windows: PC running Microsoft Windows 10 or above. Windows 10 in S mode is not supported.
- Macintosh: Apple computer running MacOS 12 or above
- Apple Mobile Devices: iOS 13.0 or later
- Android Mobile Devices: Android 6.0 or later
Hardware
- Speakers and a microphone – built-in, USB plug-in, or wireless Bluetooth
- A webcam or HD webcam – built-in or USB plug-in
Software

- Office 365: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Zoom: desktop client or mobile app
Browser
Run the latest version of your browser with all updates installed. If you are using an older version of a supported browser, Brightspace will show a pop-up message stating “Your browser is looking a little retro” each time you log in. The following browsers are supported:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
Internet
- For 1:1 video calling: 600kbps (up/down) for high quality video and 1.2 Mbps (up/down) for HD video
- For group video calling: 2.6Mbps/1.8Mbps (up/down) for high quality video. For gallery view: 2.0 Mbps (down)

- Verify you meet the minimum technology requirements listed on this page.
- Close your browser or app and install any available updates.
- Restart your device and install any available updates.
- Clear your web browser’s cookies and cache.
