The Center for Creative Instruction & Technology invites faculty to apply to its Course Design Institute (CDI), an online experience intended to help prepare faculty to design high-quality distance education courses. The CDI will be offered during the Summer of 2021.

Designing distance education courses requires intentional and informed planning. We are offering the CDI as a structured professional development opportunity for faculty to learn about effective practices in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality distance education and providing an opportunity to develop upcoming courses.

Participants will receive $2,000 to complete the CDI and build a course that meets the College’s quality standards for distance education.

OERs allow instructors to provide high quality instruction while reducing the financial burden on students. As more institutions are adopting these practices, we can leverage the available resources as well as create and share our own.
