D2L Course Cleaning Trick
Have you ever tried to look for a file in your course and had to search through the hundreds of files that have accrued over the semesters?!? In this month’s 5 Minute Sound-Byte we will walk you through the process of cleaning up your D2L course to remove all the old videos, images, and documents that are no longer used, but still living in your courses.

9 Tips for Giving Great Feedback
Whether in the classroom, in a meeting, or among your department members; providing great feedback will help create a culture of collaboration, constructive criticism, and a shared vision. Feedback is a tool that can help provide direction and consistent encouragement, so taking the time to provide the right type of feedback is instrumental. The following article will provide tips for giving meaningful and timely feedback.

Have you heard of Flippity?!?! It is a great free tool to add different types of engagement activities to your course. Easily create and embed Flash Cards, Jeopardy Games, Word Clouds, and more using one of their 28 templates. Did you know the leaderboard on the TEaCH Champions site is a Flippity interactive?!?!? Flippity makes it so easy to get started. Each interactive has its own link to a demo page, so you can see it in action, and then instructions for how to create your own. Faculty that have been using Flippity have shared how easy they are to setup and students find them not only fun but beneficial too!

Ed Puzzle Integration
You can now link to Edpuzzle directly in D2L! You can do this in two ways.
- You can add an Edpuzzle video directly in your content by clicking the “Existing activities” button and selecting “Edpuzzle.”
- Alternatively, you can add it to the Instructions area of an assignment by clicking the Insert Quicklink icon at the top of the Instructions area and choosing “Edpuzzle” from the Third-Party Section.
When adding an Edpuzzle, you will need to log in to your Edpuzzle account and create a class for the assignment to be linked to by following the directions that pop up.
Edpuzzle can also link student’s scores directly to your D2L gradebook. If you want to learn more, please visit the integration page:
